Debates on complex challenges, e.g. the climate change, become increasingly societal conflicts. However, to tackle these challenges, constructive debates are necessary to create both understanding for uncomfortable measures and innovative solutions. In order to create bridges among different stakeholders and to reach the „every-bodies“ who would not take part in events on the topics, yet want to express their emotions and thoughts, moderated public debate formats are a valid option. A look back into tribal history and a look into present and planned formats show possible approaches.
