About the person
Faieqa Sultani is an Afghan painter and photographer whose work explores women’s rights, identity, and social issues in Afghanistan. After studying Sociology of Art and Fine Arts at Punjab University in India, she developed a unique practice combining painting and storytelling — often using dresses as a canvas for women’s voices. Her works have been exhibited in Afghanistan, India, and Europe, and she has received several awards for her artistic contributions. Since leaving Afghanistan after the Taliban’s return, Sultani continues to create art that amplifies Afghan women’s stories and resilience.
